Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF)
A RRIF is a retirement fund that you establish and that we register with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in order to provide income during your retirement. All RRSP accounts must be converted to RRIF accounts no later than the year you turn 71.
You transfer property into a RRIF from a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Registered Pension Plan (RPP) or from another RRIF. http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/tpcs/rrif-ferr/menu-eng.html
